A régi céllövöldét kénytelen eladni a tulajdonos. Fia, Feri búcsúzóul lőhet még egyet. Néhány évvel később ugyanez a fiú egy rendőrnyomozóval szemben ül. A féltve őrzött puskával lelőtte az apját. A holttestet elrejtette az ágyneműtartóban, majd az anya segítségével elásta, de a bűntény napvilágra került. Ferit letartóztatták. A nyomozó szeretné megérteni a gyilkosság indítóokait, megismerni a fiú személyiségét, viszonyát a családhoz, a világhoz. Feri azonban nem ad tisztességes válaszokat. Apjáról azért elmond egy-két történetet.

The owner is forced to sell his old shooting gallery. As a farewell, his son Feri is allowed to take one last shot. A few years later, the same boy is sitting across from a police detective. He shot his father with the cherished rifle. He hid the body in the bedding compartment, then buried it with the help of his mother, but the crime eventually came to light. Feri was arrested.

The detective wants to understand the motives behind the murder and learn more about the boy’s personality and his relationship with his family and the world around him. Feri, however, refuses to give straightforward answers. He does tell a few stories about his father.
