Gabriel és Elias fivérek, azonban nagyon különböznek egymástól. Gabriel egy szürke egyetemi tanár, míg testvérét csak a nők izgatják. Gabriel and Elias are brothers, but they are very different from one another. Gabriel is a dull university professor, while his brother is interested almost exclusively in women. In the middle of one of his lectures, Gabriel receives a phone call informing him that their father has died. Things take an unexpected turn when the brothers watch a video message from their late father, in which he reveals that neither of them is his biological son. Gabriel and Elias discover that their biological father lives on the island of Ork, and they set off to meet their real family. But their first encounter does not go particularly well, and the brothers find themselves stranded on the swampy island of Ork. There, they meet the local mayor and his daughter, Ellen. Neurotic and deeply unhappy, she hates her life, herself, her father, and the island. Amid this strange group, Elias and Gabriel discover the truth about themselves and their relatives, a truth that is at once paralyzing and liberating.
