1989-et írunk, de nem az időpont a lényeg. Helyszín: a Gólya presszó, "Nyócker", a Szigony utcában, ahol az emberek összejárnak, esznek-isznak (leginkább: isznak), kártyáznak, verekszenek, majd hazamennek, és olyan dolgokat tesznek, amik szép lassan követhetetlenné válnak. A házmester túszul ejti a feleségét, a fiú tolókocsis apjára dobja az olajkályhát, ami a faterjával együtt lángra lobban, a disznóvágásnál PB-gázzal elkábított disznó meg kidurran. Majd másnap vissza a kocsmába.

The year is 1989, but the date itself is not what matters. The setting is the Gólya Presszó in Szigony Street, 8th District of Budapest, where people gather, eat and drink (mostly drink), play cards, get into fights, then go home and do things that gradually become impossible to keep track of.

The building caretaker takes his wife hostage, a son throws an oil heater onto his wheelchair-bound father, setting both the heater and his father ablaze, and during a pig slaughter, a pig that has been stunned with bottled gas explodes. Then, the next day, everyone returns to the pub as if nothing had happened.
