Áron kilenc éves, szülei fél éve váltak el. A bíróság a fiút az apjának ítélte, aki fél évi küszködés után intézetbe adja a gyerekét. 1960-ban vagyunk, pár évvel a forradalom után. Az intézetben vasfegyelem van: az ötvenkét gyereket három nevelő és az igazgató tartja kordában, nem éppen humánus eszközökkel. A felnőttek azonban nemcsak a gyerekeket, de egymást is megfélemlítik…
A film rendezője Sopsits Árpád a 32. Magyar Filmszemle legjobb rendezés díját, Mácsai Pál színész pedig a legjobb mellékszereplő díját kapta.

Áron is nine years old, and his parents have been divorced for six months. The court awards custody of the boy to his father, who, after struggling for half a year, places his son in an institution. It is 1960, a few years after the revolution. The institution is run with an iron discipline: fifty-two children are kept under control by three educators and the director, using anything but humane methods. But the adults do not only intimidate the children—they intimidate one another as well…

The film’s director, Árpád Sopsits, received the Best Director award at the 32nd Hungarian Film Week, while actor Pál Mácsai received the award for Best Supporting Actor.
