The film explores the early years of Anthony Bourdain, the world-famous chef and culinary icon, when he was working in Provincetown, Massachusetts. At 19, Bourdain stumbled into the chaotic world of a restaurant kitchen by chance, and the summer he spent there changed his life forever and helped shape his future. Bourdain also recounted his experiences and stories from Provincetown in his 2000 memoir, Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly.
